For a flickering instant, it looked like Hulu might saveCommunity. The critically-adored show with a small set of devoted fans clung to the belief that maybe, just maybe, there would be life after network television.
It appears that, sadly, those dreams are now dead.
TV Line is reporting that “Hulu has abandoned talks to acquire the cult comedy,” and that they were “the only viable suitor courting the Greendale Gang.”
While there is still a slight amount of hope (Sony Pictures Television has until June 30 to find a home for it), it appears we’ve reached the end of the line for our favorite Human Beings.
