Have you made the upgrade to a next-gen console like the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or, Nintendo would argue, Wii U? Sony is saying that about 31 percent of its PlayStation 4 users owned a competitor's systems as their last gaming console.

A third of new PlayStation 4 owners say that their last console was either Microsoft's Xbox 360 or Nintendo's Wii. In an interview with Kotaku, PlayStation's marketing VP John Koller cited research from Sony which also indicates that near 17 percent of PlayStation 4 owners didn't even have a gaming console until now.

What do you think? Did you make a brand switch with this generation? How are you liking your new gear?
