Ubisoft is waiting to release a completely finished, unannounced Wii U title until more customers pick up the console, CEO Yves Guillemot has announced. Speaking with Polygon during this week's E3, Guillemot stated that they have a "couple products to launch," including one game that's been sitting on the proverbial shelf at Ubisoft for six months as the company bides their time waiting for more Wii U units to sell.

Guillemot did not mention what number of units would trigger the launch of the unreleased title, only saying that more people need to own Wii Us if the company is going to be spend on associated costs.

"We need the sales to increase so it becomes more and more mass market then we will have the volume that will justify massive marketing and TV marketing," he said.

Considering that the game has already been finished for six months – which may or may not matter in terms of the relative age of its design – Ubi theoretically can only wait so long before deciding what to do with this game.

"I think we have to wait for Smash Bros. to come. Smash Bros has always been a big, big property for Nintendo and for gamers. And we all know that there are lots of Nintendo fans that are waiting for big games to come," Guillemot said. "We know they are coming. We don't know if they will still be there." In the meantime, Just Dance and Watch Dogs will have to do.
