There was a theme in New York City this week: people catching sharks. For the third time this week, a great white shark was caught near Rockaway Beach. A 12-year-old boy was the lucky fisherman this time around.

The New York Post reports that Bobby Jahrnes decided to go fishing with his son, Kai, on Thursday evening. In the midst of the outing, Kai felt a tug from the 80-pound shark on his line:

None

Shortly after the catch, Jahrnes and his son released the shark into the water. This comes less than a week after Steve Fernandez caught a baby great white just off Rockaway Beach last Sunday.
