If you live anywhere near Silicon Valley or Silicon Alley (New York's version), you probably know a half-dozen kids who are trying to break into the startup scene. Seriously. Saying you've" launched a startup" is as hipster as you can get right now. But if you really want to go Super Saiyan in that department, all you have to do is head to Banana Republic and shop in the "Startup Guy" section to really top it off.

The guy above is showing off the Republic's version of what a dude in startup looks like today. It totally screams "Zuck" and "Jobs," amirite? Not really. This is more Sean Parker in The Social Network, or, rather, the guy who played him—Justin Timberlake, in real life. Startup dudes in real life likely dress a lot more casual than this. If you're going to be in front of a computer coding all day, you'll probably want comfort over style. (Plus, do you really want to dress-up if you're going to be stuck in an office all day?)

But if you go with the popular version of the startup guy, you don't have to go far to see a common theme:

1.

2.

3.

That's right: the hoodie. So if you're close to your local skate shop, you're in a better position to pull off this look than the dudes heading to Banana Republic.
