We’re going to go out on a limb and say that there’s been more talk surrounding the production of Fast & Furious 7 than any other seventh installment of a film franchise in history. The tragic death of star Paul Walker pushed the movie’s release back from this month to April 10, 2015, but the producers have once again moved the release of the movie.

Now, however, we’ll actually be getting it a little earlier, on April 3, 2015. Fast & Furious 6 left us with the core cast (Walker, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, TyreseGibson, and Ludacris) pardoned and back at their original house in Los Angeles, seemingly ready to finally settle down. But not so fast, because meanwhile in Tokyo the group’s pal Sung Kang was callously murdered during a street race by none other than Jason Statham.

Fast 7 will pick up there, with DwayneThe Rock” Johnson reprising his role as Hobbs and with newcomers Djimon Hounsou, Tony Jaa, Ronda Rousey, and Kurt Russell joining in on the vehicular carnage. There will also be scenes shot using Walker’s brothers, who stood in for Paul as the film closes off his character’s story arc.

It will be kind of a weird feeling watching the movie knowing what happened to Walker, but the Fast series' propensity for ridiculous action sequences will likely distract us from the sadness, at least for a little while. It's one of the side effects of NOS, after all.
