In an attempt to create a more universally-appealing Ku Klux Klan, the organization is using candy to spread its message of hate in South Carolina.
According to Fox Carolina, Seneca, S.C. residents reportedly received plastic bags containing peppermints, Smarties, and literature about the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. This enticing package also included information about the group's website and their "Klan Hotline" number.
Gawker notes that the Klanline features a man raving about Mexican immigrants and their the trouble they can bring, i.e. the typical bigoted nonsense. Imperial Klaliff of the Loyal White Knights Robert Jones told Fox Carolina that members disseminated the candy last weekend during their "national night ride," which just sounds menacing.
Furthermore Jones said that the hate candy was distributed at random. "I mean, we can't tell who lives in a house, whether they're black, white, Mexican, gay, we can't tell that," he told Fox Carolina, adding that it would be rather racist to target certain houses.
Let that sink in.
