Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which underwhelmed in its first season, is apparently going to do whatever it takes to improve this time around. Case and point: Lucy Lawless, best known for her all-around female badassery in the '90s classic Xena: Warrior Princess, has been recruited to join the show as a guest star, TVGuide.com reports.

Nerd worlds are colliding right now, and we don't know how to handle it.

As of now, Marvel is keeping Lawless's role on S.H.I.E.L.D. under wraps, though whether she's playing a foe or a new member of the team who Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson lusts after like a little schoolboy doesn't really matter — she's gonna be a bad bitch either way.

Most recently, Lawless played Ron Swanson's girlfriend (and then wife) on Parks and Recreation. Hopefully she can pull double-duty, because we need more of this
