Released last week, Shovel Knight has already grabbed the attention of gamers and critics alike, earning the praise that its hype and pre-release buzz augured. The game is a masterful blend of modern and retro influences, taking the best of both worlds to from one, powerful hybrid.
However, it's greatest element may be the recently-discovered Butt Mode, an easter egg in the game that allows you to change the titular character's name to "Butt Butt". This is what people mean when they call video games an art form.
In order to access the cheat, you register your name as WSWWAEAW or X&BUTT at the beginning of the game. You can find a list of more useful, but less hilarious, codes here.
