The trailer for the final season of Boardwalk Empire has arrived, and it looks like several old favorites will be returning. The show will be jumping ahead to 1931, when Al Capone’s power is beginning to weaken and the depression is hitting hard. Chalky White seems to be channeling another Michael K. Williams character—Omar from The Wire—when he proclaims at the beginning of the teaser the “Jesus was wrong,” and we can’t help but assume this will be a theme for the whole season.
Plus, with a tagline like “No one goes quietly,” expect a lot of characters to go down this season. Who will it be? The season premiere is scheduled for September 7, and hopefully there will be some more teaser material between now and then.
