Earlier this week Microsoft announced that it was shutting down Xbox Entertainment Studios, which was the division working on Halo: Nightfall and other live-action projects based on video games, as part of a company-wide belt tightening.
Halo: Nightfall is one of the few Xbox Entertainment Studios projects that will live on to completion, though.
Some of the new details revealed at Comic Con include the lead character, Jameson Locke, a "legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth’s most powerful and secretive military branch," who will be played by Mike Colter from The Good Wife.
Halo: Nightfall is scheduled to be released in November as part of the Master Chief Collection that includes all four previous Halo games. Halo 5 comes out in 2015.
