Nickelodeon just dropped the first trailer for SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge out of Water, coming to theaters next year.
As the title suggests, the movie has legendary sponge hero SpongeBob leaving his pineapple under the sea, with a little bit of magical help from a grimey pirate played by Antonio Banderas. You might also recognize guitar god Slash in a cameo.
Not to jump the gun here, but 10-year-old me feels like this has the potential to be the best animation-meets-IRL-people movie since Roger Rabbit.
