James Gunn is now the owner of two of the most powerful things in the known universe: a contract to direct a sequel to the mega-hit Guardians of the Galaxy and an infinity stone.
Marvel Studios gave the Guardians director a replica of "the orb," which contains an infinity stone, as a 44th birthday gift. You might recognize it as the one that Thanos, Ronan and everyone else was so desperately trying to get their hands on in the movie.
Gunn posted a photo of the gift to Instagram:
As you can see, it came with a quote from Chris Pratt's character Peter Quill reading "That was a pretty good plan," which could definitely apply to the what Gunn did with the acclaimed movie, which has already made more than $200 million worldwide.
