In The Giver, Taylor Swift literally only exists as a hologram in the mind of Jeff Bridges' titular Giver. She used to be the Receiver of Memories, but, as is wont to happen in dystopian futures with crazy dictators, she has to be taken care of. Main character Jonas (Brenton Thwaites) is now the Receiver of Memories, and he's beginning to be a pain in Meryl Streep's ass as well. Be careful, Jonas—avoid the fate of Taylor Swift and her sad brown wig.
The Giver, which is based on the 1993 Lois Lowry novel, also stars Katie Holmes and Alexander Skarsgaard. It hits theaters August 15.
