Well, the honeymoon period on The View seems to have lasted for all of two weeks.

It seems that last week, Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg got into it during a commercial break, in what was probably one of the more awkward fights to witness in the history of TV studio audiences. The NY Daily News claims that O’Donnell got upset when Whoopi cut her off during a segment because they had to go to a commercial break.

Here’s how it all went down from there:

After Goldberg cut her off, O’Donnell had a fit during the break, telling Goldberg, “You hurt my feelings.”

“I’m very upset by it,” she added, according to the Daily Mail.

Goldberg tried to calm O’Donnell, noting: “This isn’t the time for this, Rosie.”

But O’Donnell wouldn’t drop the subject. “It makes me upset and I just don’t want to have to go through this,” she complained.

Goldberg, clearly annoyed, shot back: “I said this was not the time, Rosie.”

Undaunted, O’Donnell continued to rant until Goldberg snapped, “F--- it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don’t want to listen. If you want to go there, Rosie, I will, damn it. I’m really sick of your s---!”

Production sources said the studio became silent — until co-host Rosie Perez cracked, “Oh, s---, Twitter is going to be off the hook now.”

This kind of discord, while a part of The View seemingly every season, is an unfortunate occurrence for a show just starting to build some positive momentum. It sounds like Whoopi and Rosie need to break open a box of Entenmann’s, toss a Koosh ball around, and work out their issues.
