Sorry, Ashton.

Ashton Kutcher's Steve Jobs biopic didn't garner him the accolades he was probably hoping for (though he did look remarkably like the young Apple co-founder), leaving room for another film based on Walter Isaacson's 2011 Jobs biography. For a while, Leonardo DiCaprio and David Fincher were attached to the project, but as early as March Fincher reportedly said he'd only do it if Christian Bale played Jobs.

DiCaprio eventually said no, apparently to "take time off from acting." Aaron Sorkin has already written the script, which consists of only three scenes, each before big Jobs tech reveals, including the iPod. Sure, Bale doesn't look anything like the late mogul, but he's also famous for physically changing himself for roles—he lost 63 pounds for The Machinist and was virtually unrecognizable in American Hustle.

Filming will reportedly begin in the spring, with Danny Boyle directing and Scott Rudin producing. How pissed do you think Leo will be if Bale ends up winning (another) Oscar for this?
