IRL: In Real Life and "Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel" Turn One Complex Editor Into a Zero Gravity Vault Hunter

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel transforms one Complex Editor into a very, very lousy Vault Hunter

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes place on the surface of Pandora's moon Elpis and, as such, there's not much in the way of gravity. And let's all be honest with one other, gravity is an ungrateful cur who's had it too good for too long.

As the third core entry into the Borderlands franchise, The Pre-Sequel dispenses with the trifling hindrances that celestial bodies project on one another and allow players to use oxygen thrusters to maneuver on the surface of the moon. Since space tourism wasn't exactly in our budget (yet) we decided to see if we could recreate zero gravity the best way we could afford: renting a vomit comet. OK, it's not the Vomit Comet (TM), but it's basically the same thing. Since gravity is a fickle constant here on Terra Firma we decided to head 20,000 feet into the air to see how we'd fare on the surface of Elpis. For the first time ever, IRL: In Real Life goes weightless and tries not to spackle the cabin walls with this morning's breakfast as we do our best to recreate battle conditions in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel drops today on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
