Veteran actor and three-time Best Actor winner Daniel Day-Lewis was knighted by Prince William in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace yesterday. If anything, it should remind you that the actor who played perhaps our greatest president in an uncanny performance is actually Irish.
The 57-year-old Day-Lewis will now be addressed as Sir, joining the ranks of Paul McCartney, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Judi Dench, and Helen Mirren. Cheers!
