Oh, the once-mighty BlackBerry, how far you've fallen. At this point, you're probably less popular than an actual blackberry, and those things don't really taste that good.

Which leads us to what looks like a bit of a desperation marketing on the part of the former cell phone giant: BlackBerry will now pay iPhone users up to $550 and a new BlackBerry Passport in return for trading in their iPhone.

Of course, iPhone users will probably agree that you'd have to also be desperate to take BlackBerry up on their offer, but hey, it's better than selling plasma, sperm, or all your possessions in order to buy Christmas gifts.

According to IDC polling reported by Daily Dot, BlackBerry, the former king of cell phones, is now only used by .5 percent of smart phone users. That number was 13.6 percent as recently as 2011.

The amount you'll get paid varies, depending on if you have an iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S or 6, and the offer runs Dec. 1 to Feb. 13. You can check your price on BlackBerry's website
