One lucky audience during yesterday’s strong theatrical debut of The Interview was treated to a very special welcome, as star Seth Rogen showed up to personally thank the audience for coming out to see the film.
Rogen (along with co-director Evan Goldberg and some dude dressed as Uncle Sam) told the gathered patriots that “if it wasn’t for theaters like this and people like you guys this literally would not be fucking happening.” And really, that’s true; it wasn’t until a groundswell of public pressure mounted that Sony decided to screen The Interview after all, a great victory for American pride and nationalism.
While he may be Canadian, Rogen acknowledging this fact should at least get him a look for citizenship or a presidential medal.
