The Star Wars fever has been ramping up over the last few weeks since the reveal of the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, inspiring several fans to provide their own "unique" takes on the footage.
Among several questionable entries, this effort by YouTube user Powerlight-13 created using footage from Grand Theft Auto V, is a pretty authentic mock-up. Ok, so you aren't going to find too many hoverbikes or stormtroopers running around the mean streets of Los Santos, but the video makes ample use of what's available, with the Millennium Falcon flyby glimpsed in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer given an awesome Top Gun spin courtesy of GTA V's military aircraft. Cutesy rolling droid BB-8 meanwhile, is represented in an amusingly illusion-shattering appearance as a rather limp-looking football.
Here's hoping that when the PC version sees release, the modding community will be able to let their imaginations run wild with actual spaceships and costumes.
