Viola Davis already scares the hell out of everybody on How to Get Away With Murder. Now, it looks like she’s getting a chance to take that intimidating persona to the big screen.

Latino Review reports that Davis is set to join the star-studded ensemble cast of DC’s Suicide Squad in the role of Amanda Waller. Those familiar with the comics will know that Waller is the (sort of) functional equivalent of Samuel L. Jackson in The Avengers; that is, a tough-as-nails agent placed in charge of a super-group.

Davis beat out Oprah and Octavia Spencer for the role, and joins a cast loaded with the likes of Jared Leto, Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, and Cara Delevigne. The movie is slated for an August 2016 release, so it will be a while yet before we get to see Davis reduce all these tough guys to tears.
