At this point, it's more a question of who in the comedy world isn't in the Wet Hot American Summer series coming to Netflix.
Deadline reports that Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig (aka the Hollywood duo with the most unnecessary letters in their name), Chris Pine and Jason Schwartzman will appear on the eight-episode series in guest starring or recurring parts.
That's on top of the entire returning cast of the incredibly odd 2001 summer camp film Wet Hot American Summer. That cast didn't sound that impressive at the time, but today reads like one of the greatest comedy ensembles ever. It includes: Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Ken Marino, David Hyde Pierce, Joe LoTruglio, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter.
The movie is a cult classic to some, and hated by others (if you hate fun).
Also previously announced to be joining the cast for the show's Netflix run were John Slattery, Josh Charles, Randall Park, Lake Bell, Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel.
The first teaser trailer came out yesterday.
