Sorry, Lena Dunham: Lil Wayne ≠ Lil Jon

Lena Dunham somehow managed to mix up Lil Wayne and Lil Jon, then gave a really odd explanation for why.

Honest question: what is the point of deleting your Twitter if you’re going to keep posting dumb things on Instagram?

That has to be the question Lena Dunham has to be asking herself today after an escalating series of tweets revealed that may not totally know the difference between Lil Wayne and Lil Jon. The confusion began when she posted this from the Sundance Film Festival yesterday:

When I came to Sundance in 2007 I made a list of celebrity sightings on an envelope with @audreygelman. This year @campsucks and I did the same thing. Part 1...

Leaving aside how weird it is for one celebrity to make obsessive lists about other celebrities, the main problem was that Wayne was definitely not there. Dunham then decided that the dreadlocked, dark-skinned fellow she actually had seen was her one-time collaborator Lil Jon:

Lil Jon IS in Utah say sources (aka instagram comments.) And yes, we wrote him onto our list as Wayne. As Jenni says, blame is on the aaaaaltitude #blameitontheaaaltitude #redeye #amiawake?

Oh wait, no it wasn’t. It was probably just a guy with dreadlocks. Way to throw Jenni under the bus though:

This layover in Atlanta is a great time to tell you Jenni & I know the difference between Lil Wayne & Lil Jon. Wayne could lick me like a lollipop and is beloved by Nicki. I met Jon when he generously created a Rock The Vote video and he was a delight. When we got of the plane in Park City Jenni said "I saw Lil--" and I shrieked "WAYNE!?" and added him to our celeb list. End of story. PS This is Wayne's (ex?) girl Dhea who will be my blizzard fashion inspiration. PPS I can always trust my gang of Internet friends to go hard and that's why I 😍 you and you make me crazy

So, that was weird. But hey, who isn’t looking forward to Lena’s next borderline racist Instagram?
