It looks like this could get worse before it gets better.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has fallen out of favor with some NYPD officers who believe he has created an anti-police environment in the city. Now, some officers are reportedly at odds with their leader, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton

According to DNAinfo, Bratton met with the presidents of the city's police unions on Wednesday to address the NYPD's alleged work stoppage. Not only did this attempt to resolve the situation reportedly fail to mend the growing rift between de Blasio and the City's police force, it revealed that Bratton might be the next target of their anger:

Right now the commissioner is getting the benefit of the doubt, but if the tone he has continues in lockstep with the mayor, he is going to lose his beloved cops as well, the official said.

Right now, morale is even lower than it was under [Raymond] Kelly, which I thought was impossible, another union official said.

But noone expects de Blasio to change his position. It's not in his DNA. However, we are giving the commissioner the benefit of the doubt.

Still, Patrolmen's Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch insists that the issue originated "at City Hall." Worse, another police source described the situation as "fragile" to DNAinfo, noting that Bratton is "dangerously close to losing [them]."

A week after some officers turned their backs to de Blasio while he spoke at Officer Rafael Ramos' funeral, Bratton asked police not to do the same at the service for Officer Wenjian Liu. The following day, they disregarded his request
