The spelling-challenged Terminator: Genisys dropped its first trailer almost two months ago, and it’s been all quiet on the promo front since. That is about to change on Sunday, though, when the movie will release the above trailer during the Super Bowl.
As you’ll see, the filmmakers have realized where their bread is buttered: Arnold Schwarzenegger, kicking ass even though he’s kind of an old man. The equation seems to be: shotgun + CGI young Arnold + “I’ll be back” = $$$
While it remains to be seen how Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, and Jai Courtney do carrying the franchise forward, it seems like the buck will continue to stop with Arnold (as it should).
