Last month we scratched our heads at Zac Efron being cast to star in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates. But with the latest casting announcement it starts to make more sense. Workaholics' Adam DeVine will star opposite Efron in the comedy based on the true story of two brothers who posted a Craigslist ad to find wedding dates.
Efron and DeVine will play two "hard-partying and immature brothers" who end up meeting a couple of women who party harder and are even more immature. According to Variety, it was DeVine's "mix of wit and raunchiness" that won him the role. His utter lack of game as Adam DeMamp in Workaholics couldn't have hurt either.
Look out for Mike and Dave to hit theaters July 29, 2016.
