The "Aloha" Trailer Forgot That Writer/Director Cameron Crowe Has Won an Oscar

Almost prestigious.

Writer/director/producer Cameron Crowe, known for contributing such classic films as Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous to the canon, is an Academy Award-winning writer (the latter film won him Oscar gold for Best Original Screenplay back in 2001). Someone should really tell that to the editor who cut the trailer for his newest flick, Aloha, though.

The trailer, which hit the e-streets earlier today, labels Crowe as an Academy Award-nominated writer. That's like calling a doctor "Mr.", to be honest.

It's an easy fix, one I'm sure Sony will have repaired by tomorrow. And with an epic ensemble cast including Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Alec Baldwin, Bill Murray, Danny McBride and Rachel McAdams, Aloha's box office receipts will surely make Mr. Crowe forget all about this harmless error. Still, pretty hilarious.
