The Academy Awards Were Too Mexican For Donald Trump

Fox News shill and humanoid wax statue Donald Trump hated the Oscars last night. Shocking, right? Hollywood is the belly of the beast when it comes to "America-hating liberal elitism" (or whatever other buzzwords Conservatives are throwing around to describe progressives these days) so Trump refused to respect the art recognized at the ceremony.

Unless that art is American Sniper, a war movie that, in right-wingers like Trump's eyes, if you don't support then you must be a terrorist sympathizer. Donald thought Sniper was snubbed in the major categories, so of course he pointed to "conservative hatred" and Mexico as the scapegoat. 

During an interview with Fox & Friends, Mr. Trump offered this explanation as to why American Sniper lost Best Picture to Birdman, a film by Mexican director Alejandro Iñárritu:


"It was a great night for Mexico, as usual — you know, this country, the whole thing is ridiculous. This guy kept getting up and up and up. What’s he doing? He’s walking away with all the gold? Was it that good? I don’t hear that. It was certainly a big night for them. 

Ah, yes. A film Donald Trump neglected to even see couldn't possibly be worthy of such a high honor.  In an Oscar race with all white acting nominees and merely one director of color, it sure was a historical evening for "them". And the award for Worst Xenophobe goes to...
