Boos: Here's Your Fist Pic of the New "Ghosbusters" Crew Together

Here's evidence that Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy and Kate McKinnon are already part of a team: The SNL40 team.

There was some interesting overlap of recent movie casts within the sprawling cast of the 40th anniversary Saturday Night Live special.  In addition to the classic SNL skit reprisals (like Wayne's World, and Nick Ocean), there was a skit for Inherent Vice's ace supporting players and separate generation SNL-alums, Martin Short and Maya Rudolph. They introducing faux music acts (Adam Sandler was in a Paul Thomas Anderson movie, too #neverforget). Then there was Birdman's Oscar-nominated supporting actors Emma Stone and Edward Norton doing their own read on classic Weekend Update characters. And of course, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin paid tribute to their 30 Rock co-star Tracy Morgan, who is still recovering from a limousine-semi-truck collision and couldn't attend (but Fey assured us that Morgan was still feelin' sexy).

It all serves as a reminder of the nebulous community of creativity that SNL has fostered for four decades. Not just with the casts that worked together, but the deep performing connection that they all seem to share with both past and present casts, and past hosts, and musical guests.

Current SNL cast members Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon pulled all that sentiment together and snapped a pic with Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy, in a big, gooey, group hug. And that's your next Ghostbusters team, y'all! There will be lots of photos of all of 'em in costume when filming of Paul Feig's Ghostbusters gets underway this summer, but for now, here's evidence that they're already part of a team. The SNL40 team.

And there's a lot of ghosts on that stage. But look at 'em: they ain't afraid of no ghosts. Reboot, either.
