Last year Orange Is the New Black's Laverne Cox became the first openly transgender actress to be nominated for an Emmy. She'll continue to make transgender people more prominent in media with her latest casting as a transgender lawyer in a pilot for CBS.
Doubt will revolve around a "yet-to-be-cast attorney who gets romantically involved with one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.
Cox's character Cameron Wirth is described as competitive and compassionate, fierce and funny. Her "own experience with injustice causes her to fight even harder for all of her clients."
You can also catch Cox in Orange is the New Black when season three premieres this summer.
