The 40th- anniversary special for Saturday Night Live is in the books. We got parodies, and Celebrity Jeopardy. But most of all, we got classic skits with nostalgia twists. And a lot of jokes were at Kanye West's expense... until he killed it as the musical guest.
As kinda-sorta host Steve Martin said at the start of the show, "Tonight is like an enormous high school reunion, a high school that is almost all white.” Here's the yearbook, in case you missed it.

Murray reprised the singer who sings theme songs to movies that don’t have lyrical theme songs.

After Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Jane Curtain told a few "SNL is so old..." jokes, out came the guests, including Emma Stone as Roseanne Roseannadanna, Edward Norton as Stefon (with Seth Meyers and Bill Hader, too!), and Melissa McCarthy as Matt Foley.

Mike Myers and Dana Carvey did a countdown of everything that makes the show special for the performers (including getting to tell Kanye West to sit down). And number their 1'll make you go "awwwwww."
