Back when Mad Men was still in its infancy Sarah Silverman had her own eponymous show on Comedy Central. Jon Hamm made an appearance on it and offered the chance for Silverman to audition for the pilot of what eventually become a critically acclaimed, widely beloved show. But Silverman passed, basically saying, "Nah, I got my own thing."

Judging by her tone in her Mad Men tribute above she's come to regret that decision. The role of Rachel Menken, head of Menken's department and Don Draper's mistress, ended up going to Maggie Siff. It's not all bad, though. The role would have had even less job security than Silverman's show, which lasted three seasons, because Draper runs through mistresses like the white shirts in his desk drawer.
