Damn, Turkey has no chill when it comes to voicing their opinion of American actresses. Turkish officials are reportedly denying Julianne Moore a role in a promotional tourism film for the country, citing her “poor acting” skills as the reason. The film, titled Home Of, was supposed to star Moore on an airplane, reminiscing her childhood memories on a trip to Turkey. The tourism spot was shot in Los Angeles last year but Turkey demanded a reshoot after seeing it. When Moore refused, the project was terminated costing the advertising agency behind the film a whopping $1.5 million. The $4 million project was suppose to air in Turkey over a year ago.

Emre Yücel, a partner at the ad agency Iconisus & I Mean It, thought Moore was perfect for the role at the time and that she would attract wealthy tourists to the country. "I can't understand why she is not liked here," Yücel said.

Critics halfway around the world disagree with the Turkey's views on Moore's acting ability. The 54-year-old actress just won an Oscar for her performance in the film Still Alice.
