Nothing about the first trailer for Woody Allen's Irrational Man is groundbreaking, but it still manages to be an entertaining enough romantic comedy. Joaquin Phoenix plays an alcoholic, depressed philosophy professor in a love triangle with one of his students (Emma Stone) and a fellow professor (Parker Posey). The stellar cast and sharp dialogue is enough for us to forgive the familiar Allen setup dropped in a collegiate cliché.
