Darrell Hammond, whose loveable mug and near-perfect Bill Clinton impersonation made us laugh on Saturday Night Live for years, is taking on his next big role: Colonel Harland Sanders, the face of Kentucky Fried Chicken.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, KFC's Chief Marketing Officer Kevin Hochman talked about the fast food chain's need to work on its brand. "We've had quite a while where we have not grown," said Hochman. That's for sure—since 2004, the number of KFC stores in the United States has been on a steady decline.

So now, KFC is bringing the Colonel back to fix that. Hammond stars in a new online video series, created by KFC and ad agency Wieden + Kennedy, and he is truly great in them. In this inaugural ad, the Colonel officially announces his return, and he's not afraid to say what's on his mind.

"I've been gone for a while," says Hammond. "And boy howdy, how things changed. These days, you've got your international space station, your double-sided tape, your cargo pants.

"You seen these pants? That's too many pockets."

Watch the video above. (Warning: But not if you're hungry.)
