A trip to the happiest place on earth went south quick on Thursday when a 8-year-old boy got injured from a costumed Pluto. This becomes the latest tale of costumed characters involved in naughty behavior. Laurie Ramirez, of Rancho Cucamonga, caught the incident on camera when her son, Ethan, got hugged roughly. Right after the hug Ethan complains that he’s in pain and can’t walk. That’s when a park nurse reportedly checked him, giving him the a-okay, but Ethan said he wanted to leave.

According to Ramirez, the family “spent all afternoon in the emergency room.” A Disney rep went to the hospital and allegedly offered to pay for the medical expenses, saying the employee would be disciplined.

An e-mail from Disneyland Resort said about the incident: “We are in contact with the family and are in the process of gathering the facts.”
