He does think it's been better than Ferguson, though.

Like Jon Stewart and protesters, Morgan Freeman isn't a fan of the way cable news networks are covering the Freddie Gray protests in Baltimore. The actor spoke with Daily Beast to promote his new film, 5 Flights Up, and ended up delivering some pointed criticism of cable news. "Fuck the media," he said.

His new film includes wild media speculation after police stop a Muslim man's truck, which he likens with the Baltimore coverage. "Look at MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN," Freeman said. "Go between those three. There's a take, there's a take and there's a take. It's just commentary. CNN wants to be pure news, but the others are just commentary. They're just commenting on things."

He did concede that the networks have done a better job this time around than they did in Ferguson, Mo. "Now, they’re getting more of the whole picture," Freeman said. "People are saying, 'You were not all there when we were just talking and trying to make a point, but if we set something on fire, all of a sudden you’re all here. Why is that? What’s the difference?' And some young reporters are listening."

Look out for Freeman's full interview with the Daily Beast to drop next week.
