In the movie Pan, the Warner Bros.' adaptation of the classic Peter Pan tale, we get the backstory of the boy who never grew up. The newest trailer for the movie is here, and it features a look at Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily, and Garrett Hedlund as James Hook. Jackman has already been showing off what he looks like in full costume, so it's cool to see what the finished product will look like. Oh, there's also Cara Delevinge as one of the Neverland mermaids!

Directed by Joe Wright, known for his work on Atonement and Hanna, the movie feels right in the same vein as other visually spectacular, fantastical films that center around a brave young lead. The trailer also brags that the movie is brought to you by the same studio that did Harry Potter, though that seems a bit unfair to bring up—it's not clear at all if Pan will have the same mass appeal as that franchise.

The movie was originally set to debut this summer, but the premiere date has since been pushed back. So we'll have to wait until Pan opens on October 9 to find out. Watch the trailer above.
