In light of Dave Chappelle's 'racial draft' skit from Chappelle's Show- The Washington Post reports his take on Rachel Dolezal's racial identity crisis. So where would Rachel go? "I think black," Chappelle says. Um, what?! The comedian adds:

"The world’s become ridiculous. There’s a white lady posing as a black lady. There is not one thing that woman accomplished that she couldn’t have done as a white woman. There’s no reason! She just needed the braids! I don’t know what she was doing."

Chappelle states that he's probably going to hold back on incorporating any Dolezal jokes in his act, if he does so at all, because in his eyes the media is overlooking "the emotional context of what she means." As Chappelle and the rest of us were eager for the now, former NAACP president's rebuttal— she spoke out and respectfully resigned from her position to bring the focus back on what's more important here and that's promoting civil rights. Yet the topic is still at a boiling point aside Dolezal's parents recent media appearances.
