Fox and Marvel are trying to wipe the slate clean with this year's Fantastic Four reboot, and we mean that quite literally. The first two films from 2005 and 2007 have been pulled from digital release on iTunes and Amazon, THR reports. That means you'll have to buy a physical copy of Fantastic Four and/or Rise of the Silver Surfer if you want a reminder of the hot garbage Fox dropped in the middle of the 2000s (the glory days of hot garbage).

A THR source put it lightly by saying the move isn't unprecedented and Fox is merely trying to avoid "confusion in the marketplace." The movies could even show up again after the new one releases. But let's be real. We know the movies were trash, Fox knows the movies were trash, and we're all better off pretending Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Ioan Gruffudd, and Michael Chiklis never wasted their time.

Here's to hoping the new cast of Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell is at least marginally less awful. We'll find out Aug. 7.
