Two stunt doubles fell in love in a hopeless place: a post-apocalyptic desert wasteland. Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron's doubles caught feelings on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road after beating each other up and have since gotten married and had a 14-month old son. Their tale of romance is reminder that love is a strange force and Mad Max was filmed a long ass time ago.
Dane Grant came on board as Hardy's temporary stunt double and began rehearsing with his future wife, Dayna, who had worked previously as a double for Lucy Lawless in Xena: Warrior Princess and Theron in Snow White. Although Dane was eventually replaced by full-time double Jacob Tomuri, their love continued to blossom
"Every time we get to work together is a blast, but none more so than the initial fight rehearsal," Dane told The Telegraph. "In the film it's the first time Max meets Furiousa and they fight it out with a sequence that fight choreographer had us training non-stop for weeks."
Dane didn't say what exactly he loves about his now-wife, but it isn't hard to speculate. They were obviously turned on by each other's respective penchant for ass kicking, a la Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
