Dr. Seuss aka Theodore Geisel aka everyone's favorite children's author, died in 1991, but a new book by the good doctor is set to come out in less than a week.

The book, titled What Pet Should I Get, is believed to have been written in the early '60s, but was only discovered in 2013 when his 93-year-old widow decided to finally go through a box of the Cat In The Hat author's things she'd stashed away shortly after his death.

According to the New York Times, there were 16 black-and-white illustrations with text typed out and taped to them, and the paper was yellow and stained, but there was enough there to publish (with a little bit of work).

So many years had gone by, that only one employee was left at Random House who had ever worked with Geisel, but shortly after she learned of the new manuscript she was hard at work on the project of using Seuss' own techniques to color the illustrations and finish the text that needed it.

The book, of which one million copies will be printed, comes out July 28.

Stay tuned for the inevitable movie adaptation.
