In addition to the presence of free weed and a Kanye-inspired seven-screen viewing experience, Comic-Con also came through with a new X-Men: Apocalypse trailer. The footage gives us not only the first proper look at the next entry in the admirably consistent franchise, but also hints at mutant-inspired cults and the end of civilization as we know it. In addition, attendees were gifted with the unveiling of what is very likely the most art-forward X-Men poster in the franchise's history:
"Playing Wolverine is the greatest part I’ve ever had in my life," longtime Wolverine Hugh Jackman said during the panel, which included a Comic-Con-worthy stacking of 16 stars from across the X-Men franchise. X-Men: Apocalypse — which also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Olivia Munn, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and many more — opens May 27, 2016.
