Driving Instructor Fired After He Offered Passing Grade in Exchange for Sex

A driving instructor tried to convince a student to trade sex for a passing grade.

A driving instructor in Maryland has been fired after he offered to give a woman a passing grade on her test if she performed sexual favors for him, reports WJLA

Earlier last month, Daniel Perry, 21, was riding shotgun for a woman's driving test. She pulled a California roll—passing a stop sign without completely coming to a stop—and as told at the end of her test that Perry would have to fail her based on that. However, Perry then suggested a compromise:

None

The woman was able to record Perry on her phone and left the car, before reporting him to his supervisors. Perry told the police in a written statement that the woman "pleaded" with him for a re-test, and that, on second thought, he withdrew his offer before telling the woman to take an official retest.

It's unclear if this is the first time Perry had done this, or the first time he's been caught. His fiancée, however, told reporters that she is certain he would never do something like this. "I'm in fiancée," she said. "We spoke about it. I'm aware of it. He explained everything that happened."

Perry will make his first court appearance later this month.
