If you're still  not ready to let go of the classic X-Men movies cast just yet, relax, because at least some of the crew is getting back together for Wolverine 3, which will feature Patrick Stewart reprising his role as Professor Charles Xavier.

Stewart revealed the news in an interview with Collider. When asked if he'd be working alongside Hugh Jackman during his final performance as Wolverine, Stewart said:

“I think what you say is true. There is a project in development. I understand that Professor Xavier will be making more than an appearance, however, and that intrigues me.”

Collider also got Stewart talking about the rumors that the third Wolverine standalone movie (and hopefully, the first really good one) will be an adaptation of Mark Millar's Old Man Logan comic book story.

Stewart was aware of that rumor, and was open to the idea of of aging up Jackman for the part.

"And then he’ll make me look better if that’s the case," Stewart said.

Jackman announced back in May that his final performance as Wolverine would be this third film coming out in 2017, because after 17 years ,"It just felt like it was the right time to do it."

It's still not clear if he'll make an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypsewhich comes out in May 2016.
