FIAT and Complex have launched a series of pop-up art galleries that will be opening eyes to all of the amazing art happening in three different cities across the country. The #MyDesignCity series kicked off in Chicago on Saturday, July 18, with a pop-up gallery at Moonlight Studios in the city’s West Loop neighborhood.  The gallery featured Chicago-area artists Dont Fret, Left Handed Wave, Laura English, Lefty and Ethan Stuart, as well as craftspeople selling original jewelry and other pieces. When it was all said and done, over 400 people joined in the festivities.

Guests were able to partake of complimentary cocktails from DeLeón Tequila, including the Platinum Paloma (Deleón Platinum, sparkling grapefruit juice, fresh lime), and to chow down at food trucks serving treats like sliders and ice cream. The event featured DJ sets from DJ Shazam Bangles and DJ Nick Castle, and the artists from Chicago’s own Doodlebooth immortalized guests in hand-drawn images. Of course, the FIAT 500X crossover was on display throughout the event, and attendees had the chance to enter to win the cars. Stay tuned for information about upcoming #MyDesignCity events, which will be taking place in San Francisco (August 1) and Austin, Texas (August 29).
