Tara Monroe, the Texas State junior who got arrested for alleged DWI post-Waka Flocka concert after she was caught ridin’ dirty, was going to need more than Xzibit to solve her transportation troubles. The 20-year-old dean’s-list-making engineering major wasn’t going to ride a rinky-dink bike on campus like her father suggested once he took away her car, instead she bought a Barbie Jeep. Monroe spoke to Inside Edition to talk about her accidental fame and how she’s inspiring others.
Monroe explained her decision to buy "Charlene," her jeep she named after its previous owner, saying:
When she’s not being stopped to pose for pictures or being compared to Britney Spears, Monroe is being criticized for not taking the situation seriously (though Monroe wasn’t proven to be intoxicated, and only had her license suspended because she refused to take a breathalyzer test.)
“I am not trying to make a joke out of that. I just didn’t want to walk to class,” Monroe said. And she’s got the support of her dad:
