Per an order from Judge David L. Bunning, the vehemently homophobicKentucky clerk Kim Davis will be released from jail under the promise of not interfering with the issuance of same-sex marriage licenses in Rowan County:
Davis has been in jail since September 3, at which point she was deemed in contempt for repeatedly refusing to issue marriage licenses despite the fact that the Supreme Court made joyous history earlier this year. Since her jailing, Davis and her attorneys have remained bafflingly adherent to their ridiculous argument of so-called religious discrimination. However, Bunning's order for her release is not exactly a full-blown compromise. "Defendant Davis shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples," Bunning states, surely presenting a series of obstacles for Davis on her quest toward whatever it is she is trying to do.
As noted by the Associated Press, some are arguing that Kentucky's state laws on same-sex marriage license issuance are in a "state of flux." Of course, that's all the fuel needed for people like Mike Huckabee to hilariously champion Davis as some kind of martyr for conservative values homophobia:
