Leah Remini is far from the only person in Hollywood to quit Scientology - the HBO documentary Going Clear is full of them - but she's likely the most recognizable, and she hasn't gone quietly.
The King of Queens actress announced via Twitter today that she has written a tell-all memoir about her 30 years of practicing the religion until she finally decided she'd had enough of being under the church's control in 2013. The title? Troublemaker.
Remini, who had been a member of the religion since she was 10 years old, has been feuding with the church since she left. She even filed a missing person report for Shelley Miscavige, the wife of Scientology leader David Miscavige, after she'd quit the church, although the LAPD dismissed her claim).
It's not clear what exactly she'll reveal about her time with the church, but her publisher called the memoir "“bold, brash, and bravely confessional," according to Vanity Fair.
Going Clear the documentary, aka Scientology's worst nightmare, was based on the book Going Clear by New Yorker writer Lawrence Wright, but Remini's book marks the first one written by a famous actor, and we have some ideas about how Scientology feels about its actors.
